About Bridget

BA Comms, Grad Dip. Psych, M.Couns, M.A.C.A Level 2, PACFA CPC

Bridget graduated with Distinction from Monash University, earning her Psychology degree. Later her Master in Counselling with a High Distinction. And because she lives to learn another certificate in Forensic Behaviour Support at Melbourne University with another High Distinction.

Throughout her studies, she has.deepened her passion for neuroscience and overall mental wellbeing to help explore the intricacies of both the conscious and unconscious mind that influence our thoughts and behaviours.

Bridget adopts a non-judgmental approach with all her clients and her understanding of the complexities of human interaction and individual experience reflects in her practices.

A history of helping

Bridget is currently an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner where she provides emotional, social, and practical support to adults and children with diverse mental and physical health needs. In addition to this Bridget is also a Counsellor helping others unpack their thoughts and feelings to better understand themselves.

Throughout her career, Bridget has worked with individuals facing a range of challenges, including Acquired Brain Injury, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Hearing Impairments, Intellectual Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Vision Impairments, Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder (Type 1 & Type 2), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Depression, Eating Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Substance Abuse and Addiction. She takes great pride in helping her clients achieve happy, healthy, and independent lives.

 

PBS4 was created by Bridget to support the supporters. Bridget provides independent, confidential supervision and mentoring for Behaviour Support Practitioners who want a safe space to reflect, recharge, and grow.

Rooted in lived experience and guided by Positive Behaviour Support values, her focus is on practitioner wellbeing; because when practitioners are cared for, the quality of support they give others naturally strengthens.
